A little about us...
We have been married 18 years and we are the proud parents of 4 kids. We always knew that adoption would be part of our story. We have 3 biological kiddos and then last spring we welcomed home our beautiful Emaway Meron (age 12) from Ethiopia. We know that adoption isn't the answer to the orphan crisis, but it does change the life of a child. The children in the orphanage will leave with little or nothing. No one keeps a scrapbook, reads bedtime stories, or celebrates your birthday and when you grow up and leave "home" they don't expect you'll come back to visit. Where does a child of 16 or 17 go in a city of 3 million? Emaway
told us shortly after she arrived home that she had been praying for a family
and we were the answer to her prayer. The jury is still out on whether or
not she is pleased with God's answer. Shortly after Ema's homecoming, we
learned of 2 brothers in Russia who needed a family. We so love our little
boys (now 11 & 13) and we couldn't imagine these two without a family. Our schedule is full, but we like it that way. We never thought that we would outgrow our minivan, but we can't imagine life any other way. We are so thankful for
our new friends, Noel & Lori and their help in bringing these 2 boys home.
Thank you for coming alongside us and sharing in our journey. Thanks
for visiting their site..and don't forget to read their story.
